The usual mistake when buying Windows Server licenses is miscounting cores and CALs, which either wastes money or leaves the organisation under-licensed. We calculate the right licensing model for your infrastructure before you buy, source genuine licenses only, and keep track of renewal dates.
Windows Server licensing is the set of rules for legally running Windows Server, counted per physical core with a minimum of 16 cores per server, plus CALs for the users or devices that connect to it. Getting it right matters for organizations that don't know how many licenses a server with two 16-core CPUs needs, whose cPanel license expired, or whose auditor wants proof of genuine licenses. PikoSystem calculates core-based Windows Server and SQL Server licensing and the Standard or Datacenter choice, activates cPanel, DirectAdmin and LiteSpeed licenses on your server IP, supplies FortiGate or Sophos licenses and ESET or Kaspersky antivirus, and tracks renewal dates. Only genuine licenses are sourced, with a lawful alternative where no legitimate route exists. You receive a written license calculation, proof of purchase, activated licenses and a renewal register.
Core-based licensing for Windows Server and SQL Server, user or device CAL counts, and the choice between Standard and Datacenter based on how many VMs you run.
cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk and LiteSpeed licenses sourced and activated on your server IP, with OS compatibility checked.
Proxmox VE subscriptions, VMware vSphere licenses where a legitimate supply route exists, and FortiGate or Sophos licenses and security services.
ESET or Kaspersky licenses for clients and servers, with a central management console installed and agents deployed.
A register of licenses with expiry dates and where each one is used, and a heads-up before anything expires.
Since Broadcom acquired VMware in 2023, perpetual vSphere licenses are no longer sold. Products are offered only as core-based subscriptions, with a minimum of 16 cores per processor. Existing perpetual licenses keep working, but without an active support contract they get no new updates or patches.
For organizations in Iran, that means a recurring cost and a supply route that has to be rechecked every year. If you make little real use of vCenter, vMotion or vSAN, moving to Proxmox VE, where the support subscription is optional, is worth comparing before your next renewal.
A user CAL covers one person, who can then connect from any number of devices. A device CAL covers one computer and is usually more economical where several shifts share the same machines, such as a production line or a shop. Users who connect over Remote Desktop need RDS CALs in addition to Windows Server CALs.
Windows Server Standard allows two Windows virtual machines once every physical core is licensed, and each additional pair of VMs means licensing all the cores again. SQL Server per-core licensing requires at least 4 core licenses for each virtual machine.
A FortiGate without an active subscription still filters traffic, but IPS signatures, antivirus definitions and web filter categories stop updating, and protection weakens week by week. That makes the subscription bundle, such as UTP or Enterprise Protection, and its term as important as the hardware model.
FortiGate VM licenses also have to validate with Fortinet servers periodically. Before buying a license sold as offline at an unusual price, check the serial number registration and subscription dates in the FortiCare portal.
Unofficial Windows activators, such as fake KMS tools, are a common way for malware to enter a network, because they run with administrator rights. Nulled cPanel builds and WordPress plugins usually miss security updates or carry hidden code.
Shared ESET or Kaspersky keys passed around online get blocked after a while, and computers quietly stop receiving signature updates. If you work with large clients or government bodies, proof of genuine licensing may also be part of the contract requirements.
We list your servers, VMs, users and software, and review the licenses you already hold.
We calculate what you need and set out the supply route, price and renewal terms for each item.
Once you approve, we obtain the licenses, activate them and install them on your systems.
We record expiry dates and coordinate with you ahead of each renewal.
Windows Server is licensed per physical core, with a minimum of 8 cores per processor and 16 cores per server. On top of that, users or devices that access the server need CALs. Datacenter edition is usually more cost-effective for hosts running many virtual machines.
Yes. These licenses are tied to the server IP and are priced differently for VPS and dedicated servers. If your server IP changes, we handle the license transfer.
Some vendors don't sell directly to Iran. Before you buy, we explain the supply route, license type, and update and renewal terms. If a product can't be obtained through a legitimate route, we recommend a lawful alternative, such as Proxmox VE instead of VMware.
The licence type (perpetual or subscription), the number of cores or users, the support term and the product edition. Windows Server, for example, is licensed per core plus client access, while firewalls usually carry an annual security-service subscription. We size the real requirement before you buy, so you do not pay for licences you will not use, and we send a formal quote.
